"If you're hearing this recording, the consequences of my actions will get the better of me soon!" — Dr. Klein Steiner's final message, circa 1987

(This is a fangame of "Five Nights at Freddy's" made using Scratch. I've been making games like this for almost four years now, so it's no surprise I made another. However, there are a few caveats with "five nights at street cleaner" in particular. You can read more in the paragraphs below.)

1: FIVE NIGHTS

Only five nights of gameplay.

No more, and no less: no custom nights, no extras (save for an "epilogue" sequence I consider a part of Night 5), no secret boss fights. Only five levels of chaos, the way @realscawthon intended.

2: NO FRIGHTS

There are no jumpscares in this game. There are scary elements in there somewhere (mostly easter eggs), but you'll have to figure out how you failed on your own.

In other words, every "game over" is an experience — you just have to learn from it. This could be the most divisive part of this game, but that's just my opinion.

3: ONLY PNGs

Not unlike @TurtleBoard 's "Five Nights in Luh Tonka Truk", this game is a clump of images held together by code blocks, or (as we call it in the industry) a "PNG game". This genre was popularised by @yoink_fricc 's "One Night in Burger King", and it's generally considered lesser compared to high-effort vector games. Since Luh Tonka Truk is being worked on parallel to this project, you could say we're trying to "clear the name" of PNG games and prove they can be something truly special.

IN OTHER WORDS: I only used the bitmap editor to make/edit assets for this game. If vector sprites are used, rest assured they have been converted to bitmap. I'm allowed to make text in the bitmap editor, but every proper asset is from the Scratch sprite library.

4: FUN GAMEPLAY

What FNaF Scratch games do you know that use the mouse, arrow keys, number keys and space all in one gameplay loop? If you don't know any, then this will be the first. If you know a couple, then this will be one of the first.

I haven't gotten anyone to playtest the game (save for myself), so bugs are to be expected. If you found bugs of any kind, let me know using this game page.

5: ABSURDIST STORY

FNaF games are all about the "lore", the "plot" and the "story". This is not one of those games.

While there is a story to be told, it won't make any sense. It might be funny, it might not. I think it's funny, but players' opinions are unguessable if they never speak up.

6: MADE IN SCRATCH

This isn't your average Scratch project, though.

Instead of using 3.0 or its many mods (TurboWarp, Penguin Mod and so on, there's like a thousand of them at this point) to make this game, I used the version that started my gamemaking journey — Scratch 2. When working on this game, I had to deal with the lack of certain features, coming up with workarounds to make said features, and other fun aspects of block-based development.
