[STORY FOR FUTURE VERSION]
Before the events of Sonic Mania, a hedgehog searching the multiverse called PurpleX or SGH runs into Sonic's world and encounters Eggman who takes the Phantom Ruby to make mischievous actions seeing that it has power much stronger then the chaos emeralds, SGH has to find the heroes of this world and team up to stop Eggman at his tracks and save the multiverse.
