shut up i truly played the fucking game now and i can criticise it freely.
Before you throw tomatoes at me, yes, I lied about that bad comment. I haven't even played the game in the first place. But, now that I played the game...yeah there's still some flaws in the characterisation thing.
Now, I will say...The game feels nice (and not like it was made in fucking clickteam or some bullshit), and I gotta say...
The game is a solid 7/10. The bosses are fun (EXCEPT FOR THE DAMN OXIEL FIGHT IN SOLO TAILS' ROUTE JESUS CHRIST I HATE THIS THING), the stages can't get boring, the game is doing a pretty good work in terms of quality and gameplay, unlike it's ancestor (yeah i played that game and OH GOD was the last boss fight a pain in the ass). Though, I gotta say that the mini dialogue boxes in DS are much better than just some random coloured text. Better switch to these ones!
I'm gonna say this again, Kooner, please, if you ever consider making a game with a STORY,with MULTIPLE ENDINGS and with CHARACTERS, better think about characterisation for most of the time as it'll be important and make the characters not stale and feelingless.
Also, can't wait to see that 3D dungeon game!

I haven't really given my review on the game so I may as well do so now:
Been following development like WAY back in 2019 in you're server and gotta say, this game was AMAZING! I love how this is basically "Sonic.EXE if he was a actual Sonic Villain" type thing more than ever.
Sure the game still had some blood on it as well as a depiction of hell, that and the VERY disturbing data select screen when you fail to save the trio, but beyond that this felt like a legitimately normal Sonic game and feels like one of the many ways you can do Sonic.EXE if he was an actual Sonic character.
In a way he's practically Shadow The Hedgehog of the classic era, both are tragic as hell, both went out a hero, and... In the world of SA2, went out a brave and heroic hedgehog who gave his life to protect the planet. (or fox... Or demon, it GETS confusing)
Speaking of which the fact The Best Ending practically sets up the events of Sonic Adventure is a nice touch, because yeah, this is LITERALLY supposed to be the canon Sonic Universe, so no Sally Acorn, no nothing.
Anyway that's all I have to say, game was awesome, hard as shit but hey this is coming from the guy who can't even beat a actual classic Sonic game!
