(a.k.a.the game's not smooth)

Good start, I liked the art a lot, though you need to optimise it a bit.
The bg is jittery, so change bg_x[index] in the End Step event.

I like how it randomly selects words to make sentences. Maybe make separate lists for nouns, verbs, pronouns etc, and then call differently structured sentences with appropriate random words plugged in? Otherwise it gets sort of boring after 5 minutes (I played that long :P) Also the game doesn't end, does it?

Good stuff mate :)

Inspired by greek mythology of the king - Sisyphus - who was exiled for eternity to roll a Boulder up a hill.

Cool fact: if you have ever heard the saying "a Sisyphus task" it means a pointless, continous task you have no choice to compleate.

in all this time he got bored... then invented poetry.

while he is running from the bolder he thinks up words.
