You (and your friend) were kindly asked to donate your ships to a local band of space-pirates. Of-course, you both justĀ paid off your ship loans, so you can't afford to buy new ones.
You quickly find out you also can't afford to slow down!
-The objective-
Dodge rocks, missiles, and your friend's lousy driving as you frantically try to put distance between you and your pursuers in this co-optional game!
The faster you go, the further away the pirates will be. But be careful, because going faster also makes it easier to get in an accident!
-The Risks-
Getting hit by stray rocks and missiles will break your ship down, which causes you (and your friend) to drastically lose speed. Repair the ship as quickly as possible to avoid making your generous donation!
Remember, if you're not flying solo, you have to share that space with your friend. be careful to not bump them into anything dangerous!
-The Lasers-
Use your ship's state-of-the-art lasers to carve a path through obstacles both large and small!
Watch your aim, though, because a laser can't tell the difference between an asteroid and your friend!
-The controls-
The pilot of the red ship uses the WASD keys to fly, while the blue ship uses the arrow keys.
holding down either UP&DOWN or LEFT&RIGHT at the same time will charge up a laser that fires either horizontally or vertically. Holding down all four keys at the same time will charge up a shield, that makes you temporarily invincible to both dangerous space debris and your friend's deadly incompetence alike.
When you inevitably get in an accident for driving like a maniac, you must push a sequence of eight(8) random displayed keys to repair your ship. RED pushes the keys from left to right, and BLUE pushes them from right to left.
If your friend breaks down, you can fly your ship over and help them with the repairs. simply enter the yellow circle, and get to work!
-The Info-
The HUD at the bottom of the screen displays your controls, speed, and score/high score.
The map to the right displays you (and your friend), the space pirates, and the distance until the next roadblock.
The giant colorful bar to the right is simply a quick-reference for how mush distance is between you and your pursuers. It will drain quickly when the pursuers are catching up to you, so try to keep it full!
