X-AXIS - Runner Game

X-AXIS is my first serious Scratch project, and is a fangame based on Undertale Yellow. It's a small endless runner game where you play as Axis, collecting Heart Coins while avoiding red spikes along the way! Switch lanes, dash through columns of spike rows and aim for a high score!

High scores are not saved locally. HOWEVER they are saved on the Game Over and main menu screens, until you start a new game or switch difficulty.

FEATURES:

• JUKEBOX - Choose from a selection of three different songs to listen to.

• DASHING - Press X to dash through spikes and negate damage! (With cooldown)

• HARD MODE - Spikes spawn more frequently and move even faster, there are no healing items, and you have only 1 HP!

• MORT MODE - Play as... Martlet!? Wait, when was starring in a fangame of a fangame ever listed in the Royal Guard handbook?

• BROWSER BUILD - Can be played online, in the browser! Use the Experimental 60FPS Build if gameplay runs slower on browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Waterfox.

• MOBILE SUPPORT - ...sort of. And it works, too.

• OFFLINE BUILD - Downloadable to your PC as an HTML file! Enjoy the game anytime, anywhere, online or offline, high up in the mountains or down in the Underground.

• Sadly, no dogs! :(

CONTROLS:

Mobile users: tap the phone icon in the Options screen to enable Mobile Mode. This will add on-screen buttons to gameplay!

• UP/DOWN - Switch lanes (You can also use the mouse wheel for some reason, because Scratch)

• LEFT/RIGHT - Slow down/speed up

• X - Dash (Negate damage from spikes while boosting forward through them. Has a cooldown of about approximately 1 second)
