WORKS GREAT ON STEAM DECK
Withered Blade is a visual novel about a world where people with grave sin in their heart can turn into demons. Demons get amazing powers, but otherwise remain basically the same. However, this doesn't stop normal humans from hating them.
Plot
This story follows Kyo Nakahara, who has been working in the shadows for a faction that fights for equality between humans and demons. After spending his whole life as an assassin, he gets discharged so his allies can continue their work without ties to someone like him. Now he has to learn to live in a society filled with people he used to fight against.
Features
This is only a demo, but we've already made a lot of progress. The demo of Withered Blade contains the following features:
About 3 hours of gameplay per path
Two seperate paths, that will later in the game each branch off in two more paths
Over 60,000 words in total
All art is in 1080p resolutiion
Over 20 full color CGs
Hundreds of sprites. The most expressive character has 73 different expressions

Early access
The game at the moment is a long shot from being finished. About 50% of the art is done, but the script is much further from completion. That being said, the first act of the game stands fairly good on it's own and we feel it is in a very presentable state. That's why we'd like to get it out there now to see what people might think. This is our first time really trying to make a good game, so we want to make sure we're on the right path.
