What do you think?

I like your style graphics. Atmospheric game. But the gameplay is boring and not interesting.

I think this game works, but then ending was too much. It is very clever to play with the idea of wish fulfillment fantasy, and to frame the game that way. Spending a long time hammering the point in the end doesn't feel necessary. Do you know the saying "less is more"? I think you could have ended with the line "you just fell silent and stood there for a while", and then maybe have the main character respond, or walk away, or something.

Hmm... What I mean is: your game sets us up, and then plays a trick. The most effective way to play a trick on someone is to do it, and then let them think about it. If you tell a good joke, and then repeat the punchline again and again, people will walk away thinking the joke was less funny. Does that make sense?

I'm leaving a long-ish reply because this was my exact experience: I thought, "oh that's clever it was a dream" and then the wife character just keeps going on and ON and ON! about how stupid the main character is. By the time the wife is outright insulting the main character, I started to think that maybe the game was actually a little ableist, and by that point any positive feeling I had after your cool trick was gone.

Yup! Timing is everything! Anyway: nice level design, lovely graphics, good idea and good execution overall. Just the end struck me as needing polish. Endings are hard!

Love the graphics & the music, but would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't another IWBTG rip-off. I simply don't find frustating gameplay fun. The pause beetwen deaths really drives me crazy and slows things down.
