What do you think?

Hey ace, yer I realised after, seems I can't reply to a reply though. thanks for the rating, glad you enjoyed it :) and dw Axcel is actually my brother, we had a chat about it irl ;)

I like it, it has all the classic adventure game tropes and a real sense of urgency and reward to your actions, you kinda get into a speed run mentality once you play it a few times due to the constant countdown! The puzzles are just about hard enough to make you stop and ponder them, solve them, then realize you don't have enough time to figure out the next one!

Some design choices around interaction could do with improvement but their minor, things like the computer console requiring you to press escape when all other control is done using the mouse.
I also feel like the game world interactions should be more obvious and in the game space rather than the bottom right ui. This is simply a case of moving the "talk" icon above the npcs head as your close to them, or a question mark when your next to something you can interact with. Like I said, pretty minor stuff.

The story was decent, I knew what I was doing most of the time and understood the scenario. Given the speed in which you have to do everything this was enough though, point and click games have a tendency to have ALOT of dialogue and story progression segments but you've found a level here works well with the mechanics you've built. If there were more it just would have been frustrating as you watch your precious seconds being sapped away.

Art is actually pretty good, its simple yes and not ground breaking but its consistent and very clear. It really helps navigation and interaction as the items and doors clearly stand out from elements around them rather than blending in with the rest of the environment.

All in all a really good job! I had fun playing and found it interesting and challenging enough to keep trying over and over to get a better ending without wanting to punch my monitor!

Interesting premise and design!

One question: I eventually managed to complete the game with 100% success, but I still got a message asking "But how did I know?" Is this a glitch, or is there something else I might have failed to find or do?

Neat concept! I rather enjoyed replaying trying to figure out all the puzzles in the limited time. And the hint system was a nice touch. Unfortunately interaction with the game was challenging. Clicks sometimes don't register in the right place or at the right time, which is frustrating under normal conditions but really maddening when you're against the clock. Control has to be precise and predictable in a timed game. Overall, though, I enjoyed it!

I also ran into what appears to be a bug. I fixed the engine and it removed the "strange box" from my inventory, but completion still said 90% and the hint was "why did I have that strange box?"

Really nice graphics, cool game. I included it in part 4 of my Adventure Jam compilation video series, if you would like to check it out :) https://youtu.be/cpSb05PuJy0

Developer Notes
Thanks for playing, this was a bit rushed at the end but I had great fun making it. I really wanted the player to become the main character and really feel what's going on, starting in a complete state of confusion and with a hundred questions, all the answers are around if you're willing to find them!

I didn't get to polish it as much as I would have liked story wise, but let me know your honest reviews and give me some constructive critism!! :).

Don't forget to review.

P.S I'M NOT AN ARTIST, WHO MADE ME ART! :'(
