Just stopping by to leave a comment apart from the video. This game felt really good to play, but my favorite part was definitely the aesthetic. I love the artwork a lot, especially all of the neon work and color palettes. It has such a high-end look to it in places.
Something about the style of the character models over dialogue stands out as not really fitting with the rest of the aesthetic and makes the game look more childish than it is. Maybe because they resemble toys? But it doesn't distract that much from the gameplay, which is fantastic. Love the music, the controls, the animations, and I can't wait to see what else you do with it. Good luck with development!

Hi Everyone, our game is releasing as early access in Steam on 7th June 2023. That's tomorrow!
i tried to play it and i get a notafication saying 'globalshadercache-pcd3d_sm5.bin is missing'. anyone know how to fix this?
There's a lot to love about this game. There's guns a jokey attitude towards a seeming apocalypse, lotsa zombies and a system that lets you level up your shooting abilities!
So. Much. To. Love.
I have a few minor whines though, like some of the grammar being a bit off, which makes it hard to interpret some of the dialogue (and I know that's something that's easily remedied). I'm a bit perturbed by the zombies in the next room being able to pretty much jump you as you're getting ready to go to their domain too, but I also appreciate that that adds to the aesthetic!
On the whole this was a joyous experience that I can't wait to play more of, and I think you should all give it a whirl too! As for the devs, I urge you to keep plugging away at this hunka zombie fun! =)

Story Mode
ZombieSoup is an fast pace hack-n-slash shooting action adventure game following the fate of a kid to shoot, loot and dodge to his way to save a girl from the evil lurking in the dark.
You are Ricky, a college kid on backpack seeking his own adventures out in the country. On an ordinary night Ricky woke up on a long journey to a small town. Soon he discovered that the town has been infested by zombies and monsters.

Download and just unzip the game. Run the ZombieSoup.exe (Windows) or ZombieSoup.app (OSX) to run the game.
For OSX version, if you see the popup message of gatekeeper. Just go to Settings > Security & Privacy > General and click open anyway for running the game.
