0.1.3 Released

Version 0.1.3 is finally out!
Notable Changes:

  • The game finally has a name

  • The game is now open to public

  • Added a plane engine sound

  • Window size automatically changes in smaller screens

  • Added a “save folder identity” (“AircadeWarT7”), which is currently unused by the game, but you can use it to replace assets

  • Explosions move slowly to increase illusion of movement

  • Things move at a different speed when you lose to make it look like you stopped moving forwards, and enemies/pickups stop spawning

  • You can now move freely around the screen (not just on the bottom half)

  • Replaced 480x480 size with 384x480

  • Reload time display is no longer debug only

  • Picking up ammo upgrade when reloading doesn’t give a bonus, therefore the reload time exploit cheat was removed

For a full list of changes (including changes irrelevant to common players), check the changelog.txt file inside the .love file. This release was meant to be 0.2.0, which explains the delay in the release, the relatively long list of changes, unused content and disabled unfinished features in the source code.

Planned features for 0.2.0:

  • In-game volume control

  • Enemy AI and different enemies

  • Smoother animations

  • Full code rewrite

  • Improved menus

  • More will be added as ideas come up
