This is not a drill! The long-awaited new version of Palette Swapper will be available THIS WEEKEND!!
“It’s About Time!!”
I hear you loud and clear. As an apology for not having this update out months ago, I have updated some backgrounds in Palette Swapper, as well as added a new “Artsy” Mode, which will give the game a chalk-sketch filter over the game screen. In addition to these changes within the game itself, I also released both a WIP version of the theme for Painting 4: Blank Canvas and the theme for Painting 3: Forest of Jade on this very site.
“What’s Included?”
Version 0.2.0 will feature the following:
-Levels 31-45 as part of Painting 3: Forest of Jade
-The ability to toggle Artsy mode on and off through the pause menu
-Changes to a few backgrounds. Some were changed to give the game a feeling of being inside a painting (except when you’re not, like in the hub world, title screen, or main menu)
-Speaking of the hub world… it has been updated. Every painting is visible always, but they will be locked until you beat the painting prior to it.
-The highly-anticipated ability to prematurely nullify your current power, even when the timer is not up yet. Most levels in Painting 3 will require clever use of this new ability.
-The tutorial has been updated to include power-up cancellation.
-The ability to return to the level select through the pause menu, though this will erase all of the progress that you have made in the painting thus far.
-The Fracture Shot (Orange Power-Up) has been fixed. You can see what I mean by playing 0.2.0 for yourself.
I’m surprised I added all of this. Originally, 0.2.0 wasn’t meant to be this big, but I got a bit carried away. :)
You can expect to add all of these features to your copy of Palette Swapper by downloading the update on Saturday, May 12.
