Hey, guess who's back after over 2 months of inactivity! Yep, yours truly. Another time of me coming back to this game and minding unfinished business... For the final time. I think we got that out of the way that in my understanding, a recode should be a worthy-enough project if it tries to improve upon the original game, meaning that almost no flaws are allowed. And following that concept - no; do not consider me a mastermind that planned this update all along. It just so happened to turn into reality. And if you ask me, it's an interesting circumstance for this game to end on this note. 2.0 does draw some kind of line of what the game was like before and what will it be like from now on. This is the exact moment where I can be satisfied with its conclusion (fingers crossed I don't find anything else to fix). With that out of the way, the changes that were brought into the game with this patch are:
Reduced each hour's lenght by 2 seconds (thus shortening the nights from 8:06 minutes to 7:54)
Final fix for Noo-Noo that could rarely double-move if the game's performing poorly
Main Menu Easter Egg can no longer be interrupted by some Custom Night values
Edited the designs for the game's Icon in different resolutions
Smallest clean-ups of the code
And that is all. Truly. Thanks to @Benkher for providing very helpful insights on some of these topics. Tubbyland 2 Recoded was a fantastic experience for me throughout its development and with this one update I will forever be proud of what I've achieved with it. Good luck to all the future players who will read this :)
And now, we can maybe move onto another topic. What's up with the earlier announced game? To tell you straight, it didn't have any significant progress for the past couple of months. I just thought I deserved a break from everything after awhile. Overall, my schedule is just filled to the tips with many activities I need to take care of. Soon, I hope I can be done with most of them and be ready to head back into the development. To keep you all excited for now, I can reveal that my future project is aimed to remake one of the @Hadman 's older games. I think you can try and guess what it is ;) . If you expect it to be even greater that FNATL2R, you are absolutely right about it. The plans for the future recode are huge and will be executed appropriately with all my previously gained experience (in case nobody else takes on that game by the time I'm back, please guys I beg you). That's all I can share for now. I wanted to talk with you all a bit longer but I have nothing more at the current time. I look forward to updating you on the game's progress in the near future. Until then, stay tuned.
