Hello everyone!
This account has recently hit a milestone of 5,000 followers. Thanks for following!
I just wanted to drop a little information here about some upcoming projects. Most of these projects are likely to not be brought up again until next year, but I think it's good to have an update on where I stand in the "game fellow" world at the moment. Evergreen is of course an ongoing project and has been my main focus over the last year and a half, but I have been stockpiling game ideas. Some have even matured into design documents that I'll turn into playable games at some point. Below I'll be listing a few of these games that are most likely to be worked on next.
Upcoming Projects:
Project 1: Small fangame update. This update should improve the gameplay experience a little bit for one of my fangames with some small adjustments and additions.- Done.Project 2: Experimental fangame. This would be smaller scopeāa bit larger than the Mr. Hugs game, but smaller than Fredbear's Fright or LTR. The "experimental" part of the game is mainly because of how it would be programmed (using a different game engine).- Done.Project 3: Original game. I used to have some posts up explaining my progress on a few full-original game ideas I had, but they were never completed (after switching to Evergreen). One of those games has really stuck with me, so I want to get back to it when possible. After the experimental fangame I will decide whether I'll work on this or another game.- Not cancelled, but is being repurposed.
None of these listed projects are 100% going to be made, but they have the greatest potential. The main issue with my previous fangames and unreleased original games was a lack of organized planning. Sure, I had folders full of notes and sketches of ideas, but ideas and important notes could easily get lost in them. Now with better planning these games should have a smoother development cycle and not be rushed out near release date targets.
... And as I always say, thanks for reading. Or skipping to the bottom.
