5 Minutes to Survive The Zombies | Devlog #3 - HUD rework and translation support!

Welcome everyone to a new (late) 5MSTZ devlog! I’m extremely sorry for the delay, but I was away for a few days and couldn’t really write anything. Today I’m going to talk about the HUD rework and new features we added recently!

The HUD rework.

One of the two biggest changes recently. We finally finished remaking the HUD and we are pretty proud of it! Here’s a comparison (Old vs new):

Adding to that, you might have noticed we introduced a crafting system to the game. It isn’t incredibly advanced, but adds a new layer to gameplay as well as new uses to previously useless items.

Support for different languages (translations).

It’s here! You can now change languages in 5MSTZ. For now we only have Polish and English, but support for custom translations might be coming!

A small bonus: Different modes and mode selection screen.

This is pretty early in development, but we are planning new modes for the game, such as:
Campaign (The current default mode);
Tutorial (Which will explain the game’s mechanics);
Single Game/Official Maps (Allows to play out a selected map out of the Official Maps pool);
Custom Maps (Here you can selected one of the community made maps and play it);
Practice Mode (Same as Official Maps and Custom Maps but includes things like cheats and disables Trophies);
And here’s a work in progress screenshot of the selection screen (each of the modes will have an unique background picture, the current ones are placeholders):

Our new game as Cyberevolver_Studios has been revealed!

It's a rogue-like sci-fi game that we have worked on for about 7 months. This is our first big project.
