Hey y'all!
Just wanna start this off with a "Happy New Year" to everyone! 2024 is finally here, and oh boy.
We're all very sorry that there has been no updates so far in terms of devlogs and whatnot, but I would just like to post a """small""" update that at the moment, the game is not our main concern.
A lot of us in the FEA Team has had a rough 2023 physically and mentally hindering us from making any progress since the first beta dropped, especially on the later parts of the year, so progress has been minimized to a very large extent and is continuing to do so.
I will not make promises that future devlogs/uploads will be more consistent now that I've posted this small update and now that we're entering a brand new year, but hopefully we will get it to be a steady and stable rise of progress.
As for the current state of the game,
So far the general premise's writing is around 70% done, the total overview of what the plot is has been refurbished and rewritten to better fit the gameplay (and make it less hard for ourselves to write this story down to the tiniest of details)
We will also need a rigger (possibly a texture artist... maybe), as we have been having trouble with our own animatronic model. Stalker Freddy does NOT like to cooperate with us, so it seems. This role is also a very important one, because most progress had halted ever since the issues rose up.
We have a complete set of Voice Actors in our disposal now, and the osts/sounds KAJCHE_ had been so far has been wonderful, our aim for this year is to make a couple of songs for some secret ideas that I can't wait for everyone to hear when the time is right, because they are simply a banger.
But the writing for the dialogues have not been fleshed out yet, as the writing team are having trouble deciding what kind of dialogue we'd wanna give the animatronics, and how we want the writing to turn out. (as well as just being generally busy with our irl stuff all around)
On the programming side, there's not much updates to say especially because our main programmer, Griff, seems to be on a break from working on Archives as of the present moment.
Concept art and general art is being done only by me as of speaking, also because our artists are mostly on their own breaks as well, and cannot lend their services for the game yet. The latest art done (that I can show) so far is the new banner/thumbnail art. Which, I will show the full thing after this update post.
Secrets and collectibles are now in the plans for this game as well, but there is no absolute guarantee that they will make it in the game. (But I do hope to god they would)
Overall, the game has gotten larger ever since the initial plans, and seem to be continually growing maybe not in terms of map layouts (because the current map is already big enough as it is), but plans in mind for it.
It's become so much more than just being stalked by childhood nostalgia in a lonely and dreary location now with only a camera at your disposal, and I hope that in the end, mine and the team's hardwork will pay off and we'd be able to provide a great experience to the FNaF fans.
