Creating variety in Enemy AI is somewhat tricky. You tend to think that the more complex the movements and reactions of an enemy, the more “interesting” that enemy becomes.
That’s probably true. But I also realized that if you create a single enemy that’s a combination of two simpler enemies, you can also achieve interesting results.
I guess the challenge is in figuring out the player’s experience as opposed to the complexity of the enemy?… right? maybe?
