Forbidden Dark Devlog 2024.1


So I recently joined the PirateSoftware gamejam over at itch and it is a very interesting one. Part of the rules of the jam is to attach a design document to your submission. Which is something you don't often find in game jams.

But I have come to truly respect and appreciate the process of creating a design document. It's a good practice that most game devs who especially want to turn game dev into a long term career, should really do.

Anyway, the theme is Alchemy and Shadows. And so begins my process of designing a game with procedural generation, premadeath, perks and so on. Attached are screen shots of what I managed to put together these past few days.
