Best experience would be to learn from playing the game.
The first time I ever played minecraft, I don't know what was I doing. For the past like 2 hours, I was doing nothing but building dirt houses.
I didn't know how to craft until hours later. I learned how to play minecraft just by playing it. The only guides I would research myself nowadays is just building redstone and brewing potions.
