A mock-up of the GB Donkey Kong fit the themes of Cityscape, Mario and Item nicely while allowing me to explore the art of a game I still enjoy playing today.
The Mario sprite is based on the original, but I have made some tweaks for personal preference.

I thought I’d try the #pixelartvent challenge list hosted by PixelArtJourney’s, though I’m also going to use only 6-colours and fuse each prompt with Pokémon… I’m a glutton for punishment.
The first prompt was bell, so Chingling was an obvious start.
