A Quick Note Regarding Quick Play

Hey guys!

Thanks to everyone who’s given this game a go! And a really big thanks to those of you who thought it was worth giving a rating!

Anyway, I’ve noticed that the ‘Quick Play’ version of Ninja Torappu doesn’t like to save your settings after playing. It looks like it can store and retrieve high scores fine, but settings are being wiped with each reset. This is because using Quick Play the game cannot create a settings file in the temporary directory it’s running from. I believe this is a security issue and therefore impossible to address.

While this isn’t a particularly big issue, it does mean the ‘first run’ setting isn’t getting updated. This means that the game WILL tell you the controls, and WON’T let you skip the introductory level Every. Single. Time. Which I imagine is quite annoying for people who want to keep playing. Once the game knows you’ve played the game once and understand the basics, It’ll let you skip right to the action with a few jabs of the Enter key.

So! I’ll keep Quick Play around because it’s obviously a useful little feature offered by Game Jolt, but if you find yourself playing Ninja Torappu more than once, I’d recommend downloading the ‘full’ version to your computer as it’ll remember your settings and let you get back into the action that much faster!

Thanks again! xoxo

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!
