Game
Jim's Jolly Journey

A year later...

It has only been a year and not much progress has been made until this last week. The combination of a other projects I was working on and a lack of motivation led to not really anything getting done last year. But this last week I have made some good progress and have a game plan for getting this game finished. If I the plan stays as is that means I have world 1 completely done now.

The old project file for Jim's Jolly Journey was really cluttered and not organized very well so I decided to just make a new project file and only transfer over assets and objects that I need. This has allowed me to take a step back and really think about what I want to accomplish with this game. This project started out as a way for me to learn programming and game development. As a result of this, anything that I thought of got put into the project with out much planning and this led to a lot of things ultimately getting unused or poorly implemented.

This go around I will not be doing constant updates with every little change that I make. I will just release this first demo and wait to release anything else until the project is finished. I have removed the older version of the game mainly due to me being dissatisfied with the state of it and knowing that I steered off course with what the game wanted to be. The biggest challenge for me will be continuing to make progress even with classes start back up next semester. I will keep posting as I make progress and hope to do some good things with this project. See you guys in the next post :)
