Welcome back! It's crazy to think it's already 2024, no? It feels like it was just 2023 yesterday... Anyway, I've got a lot of exciting stuff to share with you all today so let's get straight into it!
Short Sum-up
Updates on the night selection!
More about the Perks!
A new office angle?!
Something new...
Long Recap
Updates on the night selection!
So as you probably saw from the video above, I've worked more on the night selection menu! I spent a while thinking of icons for each night that would make sense for what happens during that night... I also believe that they can give a good insight into what you should expect later in the night. I've also updated the character descriptions, which I don't think I talked about last time.
Character Descriptions
Along with the other buttons, I've also added a character description tab. This is mostly for in-game lore instead of the extras menu which will be more about the character rather than their significance in the game's lore. You'll the character descriptions after starting/beating the night that the animatronic appears in. Since of course, I don't want to spoil any surprises. You may also notice the other two icons that I've mentioned before but haven't talked about, which brings me to my next point!
More about the Perks!
If you've been reading my last few posts about the perks you may notice that there may have been some changes... After discussing the perks with one of my friends, I decided to remove and add some perks around. I won't spoil which ones are removed, but from this screenshot, you could probably tell one of them is gone... I feel like the new addition and removal of some perks makes the gameplay of After Hours a lot more funnier and more balanced!
A new office angle?!
Last time I showed the left side of my office, but this time I wanna show the main part of it and talk about it more! The monitor will function like most do in FNaF-Fan games, but there are some new things I added that I would like to talk about... Let's just say the technology is a bit outdated. During your shift it has a pretty good chance of overheating and buffering, of course we can easily fix that if you would just so kindly give us money from your paycheck! You will also use this monitor to complete your specific task for your shift! Did I ever mention we're a bit understaffed? You may have to work multiple shifts in one night...
Something new...
I know there are a lot of jokes in the FNaF-Scratch community about games being canceled before doing cameras, but I can assure you After Hours will be finished... Eventually! Anyway, I'm super excited to show this off, took me hours of planning to get the map layout looking a way I liked and making the camera itself. As you can see there are about 9-ish cameras. If you're wondering what the error symbols are, let's just say I wasn't kidding when I said these monitors were shitty...
That was a pretty long post eh? It's almost 11 PM where I am so I kind of had to time crunch this, sorry if there are some mistakes here or there... Anyway, see you guys in February!
