An important update.

Remote as a project has existed in some form since 2017, and at long last, I need to make an important announcement that will change the course of this project's history forever.
Myself and my collaborator have decided to reformat our story as a novel.
Before I continue on as to why this change is being made, I want to delve into this project's history.

Remote started, effectively, as a small joke among friends. It was to be a parody of the earthbound-inspired turn based RPG craze that had entered the public conscious as a result of lovely games like Undertale and Lisa.
At this time I was a very young teenager, and naturally, my writing chops were not very eloquent, but nevertheless I began to craft something that went from being a joke to becoming a central core project from which all of my subsequent projects relied on.
I went from crafting one world to crafting many, exploring many different topics and themes across an array of different worlds, exploring themes and concepts related to ambition, artistry, and passion.

Naturally, I became incredibly passionate about this project, and I began to hone what were originally small hobby activities into lifelong passions that came to define every aspect of who I am.
It is because of Remote that I became a musician so that I could write the music that would represent these worlds.
It is because of Remote that I became incredibly interested in spirituality and philosophy.
It is because of Remote that I became addicted to the act of creation, at all hours unable to break from my artistic endeavors.
And ultimately, it is because of Remote that my grand ambition raced ahead of my abilities, and Remote entered a several year long state of pseudo-limbo, where I continued to develop attributes of the Creation universe and flesh out the world and lore, while neglecting the actual project at the center of all of this. Remote.

Remote was to be a game cut from the same cloth as games like Earthbound, Undertale and Deltarune, Lisa, OFF, and so on, while also taking world and atmospheric inspiration from games like Hyper Light Drifter, Solar Ash, and the Legend of Zelda franchise.
However, upon a great deal of reflection, I have come to the conclusion that a Remote game, at least at this time, is not possible, for the simple and blunt reason that it is, ironically, far too ambitious, at least without a team.
I would not rule out the Remote game as an impossibility, but rather, an improbability.

However.
My immense passion for this universe renders me unable to let it go, so I have decided that I will be adapting and restructuring this story to fit into the format of a novel.
This process has already began, and I have been hard at work gathering all of the lore together and figuring out how to present it all in a sensical way without confusing or overloading the reader. Nobody likes a project that just dumps a bunch of slop in your plate.
Presenting a good meal takes time to let everything simmer and to then present tastefully, and we will need enough time to ensure the meal I present isn't just a soup of lore that is impossible to digest.
(***COUGH COUGH*** Destiny 2 ***COUUUUGH COUGH***)
Going forward, I will be dedicating all of my work related to this universe into two places.

- The REMOTE Novel
- A prequel music album

This prequel album mentioned here has actually been in the works for years, as it was originally going to be a Kaibutsu Sound System album. I decided however that because the style was so vastly different from anything else I ever did with KSS, I would rebrand it all completely and release it under a new name.
MYMIC.
It is very likely that this album will release before the Remote novel, but it is still very deep into production, so I will not be giving out any dates.

In any case, the Creation universe is far from dead. Rather, it is simply changing.
No matter what changes or how many years it takes, I am determined to present this story even if it takes another 7 years to get the first book out the door.

For my friends, thank you for your continued patience, and for my parents, thank you for your endless support.
It'll be ready when it's ready.
