I assume anyone who comes across this game would instantly think it’s abandonware, and I can tell why; no update for a year, what was in the update was minimal and had a negligible impact on gameplay, the only other update was rather close to the original upload of the game, making it seem like a cobbled together hack-job, and no real original ideas.
And well, things have changed just a bit.
New weapons were added, such as The American 180, the UMP-45, and the AF-2011, which was a fictional weapon based on the AF-2017 that could fire either both barrels at once or one after the other.
Then I scraped it all and started over. No, I’m serious. Dead f[REDACTED]in’ serious.
The main reason for this being that how the weapons worked originally was bass-backwards in how it was done; it was sloppy, needlessly complicated, and idiotic. But, I haven’t been sitting on my hands completely in terms of coding since I put the development of HB:CU on silent hiatus. No, no, no. I have been indulging in several different coding experiments that have helped me learn a lot.
And in the end, I came back to it, my programming child, a mangled mess of bits and pieces of other peoples kids, that have long since grown old and unruly, blowing their money on expensive cars and hot women, whilst my own languished. I walk up to it, it gave me a smile, and I smiled back, “There there Little Code, let’s fix you up.”
And so development was reinstated and yes, I did just humanize code and if you have a problem with that you can kiss my shiny, whit- BANNED
Nah, I’m just playing. But I am currently working on new health mechanics and de-screwing the code. And currently, I just need to update the weapons I currently have and fix the care packages you get at the end of the round of Reinforce, as well as other things.
So, in short, a new version to come soon. This is Raven Drakeaurd. Stay calm, stay focused. And I will see you on the battlefield.
