And Yet Another Update

I guess I should fufill my promise of giving frequent updates (cause it seems like I started to break it), and give a little infodump.

The only urgent thing(s) I need to incorporate now are the battle backgrounds (and events for story yadda yadda de da). I had an idea to try and screencap more Sonic Adventure 2 videos (that’s what I literally did for certain pieces) and try to have as minimal objects in it, but I have no idea how successful this will be. RPG Maker creates backgrounds for battles based on the tiles you have in the overworld, but it looks like a Van Gogh painting.

ARTIFICIAL CHAOS, the weaker of the two random encounter enemies. Can you guess what the second is?

I tried to incorporate a revive mechanic for Shadow (because he’s the only playable character like Fuckboy’s 3 and it might turn to bullshit real quickly), but what I achieved is an item that gives him a state that lasts for one turn to revive himself if he happens to be K.O.’d. The problem was, it could only successfully work once every battle. So I decided to scrap the mechanic all together, so when you’re dead, you’re dead. Instead, Shadow will be able to attack twice every turn.

I have (just about) every enemy I want included, and all music is in place for them. As I type this, I am adding the scripts that give you the trophies.

There’s still a while to go, but I can give a “speculative subject to change release window” around end of July/beginning of August.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
