Another adventure from Warped Times!


Hi all fans of Warped Times!

After a long time since publishing last game lots of things happened. I’ve reassessed my hobby of making games a bit and I have a good news for you!

But I’ll take it from the beginning - last 2 years after finishing Warped Christmas, I have been working on a big project Hunger of Darkness. We already had some early playable concept of the game, but we have very few reactions and
not much support from the community. I found that development of such big games is very difficult nowadays and I really didn’t enjoy the development, because half the time I was just working on PR, writing posts or creating the materials to attract new fans, unfortunately with almost no effect.

It was a good experience, but I decided to stop this project as well as another ongoing big projects. I was thinking about next moves for some time, and now I’m rather trying working in professional game industry as a tester. But there are the good new!

Because I’m still a game developer I missed that time spent in the Unity and playing with my ideas. So I decided to remake the first game of the Warped Times series! It’s a much smaller game than Warped Times 3 so it’s takes much less work and time. I want to make this game completely in my free time and without too many expectations, just for me and fans of the Warped Times Universe and maybe a few new players.

So now that I have a very good base of the game in Unity (partly thanks to Warped Christmas). All mechanisms such as world switching and character movement are working and I’ve now just started with the first level.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

One of the most critical update for Sunblaze demo. Now you are able to pet a cat! Finally!

Regular exercise is key for healthy wings.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

Here's a Fredbear sprite i made in Aseprite! I'm pretty proud of this!
