Wednesday 1993, Chapter two, Realization (Jonny's POV)

Yesterday was great, Michaels great. We decided we'd meet up again at his house after we bonded by listening to some of our favourite CDs. I showed him some more of our demo songs for a new album we're working on called 'The Bends'. It's quite different from our previous album, which is called 'Pablo Honey'. Which was definitely more grunge. This new album is definitely more rock, though. I really like the sound so far, I only showed Michael a few demos, any more and I'm sure Thom would kill me. The demos I showed him were '(Nice Dream)', 'Just' and 'Street Spirit (Fade Out)', which was my favourite. He said his favourite was '(Nice Dream)', though. I like being around him, I've started to notice that the more I hang out with him, I wonder if he feels the same way...

(Michaels POV)

Yesterday I met this guy at the library, Jonny I think his name was? Anyway, I think I like him... Not In a friend way, though...like, in a love way...and I know it may be a bit too soon to say that...but I've never felt the way I felt around him with anyone else before...I don't know if he feels the same, though...I'm definitely not telling him yet, I don't think I'd ever forgive myself if I was the reason that he hated me.

We decided to meet up again at my house to jam out, I was thinking of making music myself, Jonny was already in a band, and he'd agreed to help me in my music making. He was amazing on the guitar, I mean, have you seen those fingers go? He's absolutely amazing on the guitar...anyway, we met up at the bus stop, so I could walk him to my house, he was wearing some jeans and a black Joy Division shirt.

"Wow, he looks cute in that shirt.." I thought to myself, really, Michael? Already?

He saw me and gave me a hug as usual, it was normal for us to hug a lot, he gives the best hugs. I hugged him back and said

"Hey JonJon! It's good to see you again!"

"Hey Mike!" He said back with his posh British accent, I thought his voice was really cute, I could hear him talk for hours...

"So, wanna head to my house?" I say, pulling away from the hug. He nodded his head and said with an excited voice

"Heck yea! Let's go!"

And so, we started walking to my house, he got there and I opened the door, my mom greeted us both and said

"Hey Mikey! Who's your new friend?"

Jonny quickly replied with

"Hi! You must be Mrs Jackson! I'm Jonny, Jonny Greenwood! It's a pleasure to meet you, Ma'am!"

My mother looked back and smiled

"What a polite lad you are! It's a pleasure to meet you too, Jonny! You can just call me Janice!" She said with a happy tone in her voice. Jonny replied with

"Well, hello Janice! I'm Michaels friend, we met at the library yesterday, I just came here to jam out with him!" He said, smiling his adorable little smile. My mother replied

"Okay, well, you two boys have fun, okay?"

I quickly said

"We will! Thanks Ma!"

I grabbed Jonny's hand and then we ran up to my room with our guitars and equipment, ready to record.

We went upstairs and I opened my bedroom door for him, he walked in and I closed it behind Me, I gave him some lyrics for a song and I quickly sang it, Jonny got his guitar out and immediately came up with something, it was amazing, "this is actually happening! I have a song!" I thought to myself. I then got an idea...I thought I should probably admit my feelings for Jonny, I don't think I could do it any other time...I thought he might take it better, because he's happier right now, so...just maybe...

"Hey, Jon, can I tell you something"

I said abruptly, he replied

"Yea! Sure, what's on your mind, Mike?"

I then took a deep breath and said

"Okay...so...this hasnt been easy to admit, but...I think...I think I like you..."

Jonny freezes for a few seconds, not sure what to say, before finally after a silence that felt like it lasted am eternity, he said

"I-I think I like you too, Mike..."

We both stared at each other in disbelief, I was subconsciously moving closer to him, my hand brushes his cheek as I lean in and kiss him, he freezes for a minute before kissing back, we both pull away after a while and look each other in the eyes, not believing what just happened. I finally say

"Wow..."

Jonny looked back at me and smiled, we sat there and stared for a while after...just...smiling and looking into each others eyes, I still couldn't believe what just happened...
