Hello there, it's QSV again. Back with yet another update that has absolutely no links to the game whatsoever.
Let's cut to the chase - my aim is to give the playtesters a demo before the end of the month. That, and I want to try and get a public demo out, before I go to university in September, which will cut down the work on this game drastically.
I've hardly done anything since mid-July and I want a chance at redemption - art was waited for, designs were changed, people left... it has not been easy at all.
I suppose the first thing I can say to start this off is that August is a relatively calm month for me, so HOPEFULLY I can get some progress done. I am very passionate about this game, and I want to get as much done as possible before I potentially lose motivation from focusing on university work - though I have a good track record of carrying over work from my personal stuff to that, so hopefully it doesn't slow down THAT much.
Anyway, I have a plan for when the demo/full game DOES release:
When first launched, the game will only be available in English. This will allow you to experience the game first-hand, even if you do not understand the language. This will give the translators plenty of time to do their work, which I will implement inside potential bugfixes when they finish.
Wait for criticism and reactions to come back before doing any further work.
Breathe a sigh of relief that a long-hyped fangame hasn't been cancelled.
When the full game releases, I will finally take a good break as I've been working my ass off non-stop for the last god-knows-how-many months before working on Chapter 2.
So, that's basically it. Now that I have a plan set in place, I can commence it during the final stage of development.
For those who are sitting there in the corner waiting for this right now, just know something - this is a trying time for everyone. That includes us developers.
