Artwork Problem


Hello everyone, sorry there has been no progress update in forever. Life always tries to find a way to make you too busy to do fun things. But, I have made a little bit of progress between those times, and now that I finally have some free time, I will be working a lot more on the game. But I do have some ‘bad’ news depending on how you look at it.

There will be little to no art in this game. There will be a couple background pictures, but there won’t be any character sprites at all….at least for now. Basically the problem is that I have very specific thoughts on how the characters look, and because of that I can’t find a premade sprite that I like, and can’t make what I want in those “build your own sprites”. While I do know what they should look like I have no experience in making sprites, and I don’t know anybody that does make them. But there may be a solution. I have made an email for this game, and if you are able to make good sprites and/or backgrounds for visual novels, you can email me and we can converse about it. I will be sure to credit you on whatever specific design(s) you do and give you an extra special thanks in the credits. This is also a great way to get involved in a game and get your name out there if you are an aspiring artist. Hopefully we can have artwork by the time the game is complete, but even after the game comes out you can email me about artwork, as I will be sure to update the game with artwork if it comes out without any. Alright, I know this is a big wall of text, but I will finish with some ‘rules’ about emailing me below, till next time everyone!

  1. Please only email me about artwork unless I state otherwise.

  2. Please only email me if you can make quality artwork, it doesn’t have to be a masterpiece, but it can’t be something that took you 5 minutes in MS Paint.

  3. In the email give me some examples of artwork you have done, it can be by picture or a link to your Deviantart page or something like that.

  4. If I do think you can make some good artwork I will email you back about what I want you to make (what I want the background to look like or what I want the character to look like)

  5. The characters HAVE to be ‘sprited’ in an anime style, so only talk to me about character sprites if you can make anime style ones.
    (This list of rules can update at any point)
