Hey everyone, I recommend watching the video before continuing with the post, but for those who don't want to:
Another large Attack on Titan VR fangame, Attack on Quest has been contacted by the company right holders of Attack on Titan, Kodansha. The company has a no tolerance toward AoT fangames of any kind regardless of them being free, and while discussions are on hold between Kodansha and Attack on Quest, as to wait for the launch of the official Attack on Titan VR game, Unbreakable, I have decided to cancel this game Attack on Reality.
Due to the state of the game, Kodansha's stance, and current reception to Unbreakable, most likely Update 2 would not have been finished by the time Unbreakable releases, and our game will probably be taken down by then.
Update 1 will still be kept up on its usual platforms, though if asked, I will have to take it down. I have removed my Patreon as it was mainly used to gain funds for hosting Update 2's Multiplayer Servers. I will be splitting the funds gained and giving them to the team who have helped me.
I was planning on doing a summer progress Update with all the work that has been done since May. This will unfortunately be the last update. I will still show the progress done, as well as link to all the previous dev logs.
Asset-wise, we were fairly close to completing our character model, only having 8 more characters to polish up. There are 20 characters in total, and you would have been able to unlock them as you played. We were able to polish up to 4 characters, Eren, Connie, Erwin, and Petra:
We also added some missing accessories and polished up the ones already created:
For environments, we were in the prop stage for Trost. Houses were finished and so the focus was on finalizing landmarks such as the Gates, HQ, and a Bar you could enter seen in one of the anime episodes:
Work was also done on creating and placing down props, with ones created for the Market areas in Trost:
While these have been shown before in previous devlogs, I wanted to show again just a small bird eyes view of a part of Trost as well as some of the great texture work for the buildings:
For the programming section, I don't have any footage however the basics for multiplayer such as character syncing, voice chat, and creating an account to play with friends were made. A lot of it was started in June as I put full focus back into the game.
The game was planned for 3 major updates. Update 1 already released which was basically the foundation for Player movement and Control.
Update 2 was multiplayer and PvP-focused. Similar to other PvP games such as Pavlov, it would have featured a variety of game modes where you fight against others using ODM, APG, or the Female Titan.
It would have featured, Trost, The Crystal Caves, an Updated Forest, APG Gear, Thunder Spears, turning into the Female Titan, Multiplayer Accounts, and much more.
For Update 3, it would have been more PvE-focused adding Titans, all 9 Titan shifters, Shiganshina, Utugard Castle, and a couple more game modes. These game modes would have either been something similar to surviving against waves of Titans, as well as a PvP gamemode where while you fight other players, you also have to survive against Titans scattered around the map.

That is pretty much everything for Attack on Reality. It has been over 5 years since I first created this game and while they were tough, I really enjoyed the time I spent with the wonderful people I met.
I apologize on how this ended, but thank you for the support given and the time spent.
