August 24 Devlog

This devlog is brought to you by Chujin - he's here to sub for me - enjoy.


This is Chujin.

Progress on 0.0 is going smoothly - no roadblocks or anything. Although, there is a slight delay; he is creating a new project in this 'Scratch' engine, made for teasing a few of his future games, so that's currently being worked on alongside 0.0.

Now then, I suppose it's time to begin talking about the stuff planned.


The Stuff Planned

A Few Easter Eggs

There are currently three easter eggs planned: one for the Main Menu, one for 0.0, and one that currently has no planned location.

Here they are:

  • The X!Gaster Dance in the Main Menu, triggered by pressing the X key.

  • A hidden X!Ralsei, located in a secret room in 0.0 - all you must do to find him, is walk left.

  • An Unrelated easter egg, currently still being decided both character-wise and location-wise, which you'll have more information about once the easter egg has been finalized.

This sounds exciting, albeit for you all; I'm still dead...or am I in a state of limbo? Because if I'm really dead, then how am I able to make this post...? It's probably best not to overthink it.

Alright, time to move on to the next thing:

More Options Configurations

Huh...? Why'd he tell me to put this in here? Who would be excited over more Options Menu configurations?

...I understand now...

Here's the configurations he has planned so far:

  • Language toggle; toggles censoring for bad language, particularly in an upcoming Episode, 0.2, which takes place in Underfell - which typically has bad language.

  • Music Volume meter; works how you'd expected it to - it sets the volume to whatever variable the meter is on.

    (EX: a full meter would have a volume of 100%, a half-full meter would have a volume of 50%, etc.)

And then an idea he had regarding the hardmode toggle: turning Classic!Sans into Hardtale!Sans when hardmode is enabled.

This 'Hardtale!Sans' idea would kind of make a hardmode playthrough of the game not as accurate to Underverse Season 1, which is why I'll set up a poll tomorrow to see if you all want this 'Hardtale!Sans' idea in the game.

Part 4 (Finale) of the presents: Nostalgia Relived

TRUCE PREVIEW

Truce has been finalized with expressions for both Ink and Error, so I decided to make this preview for y'all while y'all wait for Episode 0.0.

Unfortunately since I'm quite busy (and also pretty burnt out from doing art right now) I only got to make a few... But I hope you guys like'em!
