While the gameplay is very good, there are still ways to beat this score. Here are some hints:

Some proper hits on the arcade machine can help you for example to collect coins which are out of the screen.
Crouch and Jump Attacks deal more damage than the default attack, which helps killing the tougher guys in less hits :-)
