## TL;DR FEATURES
Enemy level scaling.
Vynfall and Nelvia overhauls.
Battle UI overhaul.
Boss rush and fast travel.
Lots of bug fixes and balance changes.
## GAMEPLAY
Battle UI has been overhauled to look nicer.
Enemies no longer have a Heroic Gauge.
Enemies now scale with the player party's level, between reasonable values.
Bosses and enemies of the latest dungeon (In this case, Nelvia) are an exception. They all have minimum levels but scale infinitely past that.
Added the ability to repel enemies to some Save Crystals.
Lures now last 120 steps, up from 100.
Added a notice for when a Lure or Repel expires.
Adjusted encounter rates throughout the entire game to be less frequent.
Added a grace period, so you must walk at least 20 tiles before you can get into a random encounter.
You can no longer change rows manually during battle.
This apparently caused a game crash all this time, but it was never reported because no one used it.
Critical hits now have a rainbow fade.
All damage now rolls a bit before settling on the actual value.
Both of these changes are purely visual.
Added a boss rush. You need to defeat Vyn before you can access it.
## CHARACTERS
### Universal:
Guard no longer restores special resources.
Guard now makes the user go first on the following turn.
Daxter, Phoenix, Mitch, and Xelth now have their special resource gauges read the full resource name.
### Alacard:
No longer has Vault instead of Guard.
Dual Shot, Quickshot, and Rapid Fire now deal Physical damage (Was typeless).
Rapid Fire now has 50% Armor Pierce.
### Camellia:
Moon Slash can no longer miss.
Moon Slash no longer hits all enemies for no reason.
Go! Mini Me! no longer crashes the game because it couldn't find tiny Cam.
### Daniel:
Flash Heal's Eternal Servitude copy now has an icon.
### Daxter:
No longer has Chem Block instead of Guard.
Fixed name-related inconsistencies.
Healing Flask now dispels an Ailment instead of a CC effect.
His flasks now state which flasks they share a cooldown with.
### Eliana:
Consonans now increases allied elemental resistances by 30% instead of reducing all damage by 25%.
Fixed a bug with Alteratio that caused it to keep the old healing value, even when re-applied.
It can also no longer infinitely revive.
Fixed an issue with Statera that caused damage reduction to be applied to enemies.
### Farel:
Fixed name-related inconsistencies.
### Gailan:
Fixed a mistake in Shield Bash's description.
Avenger's Shield, Heads Up!, and Shield Bash/Body Check now all cost 10 mana.
### Hyria:
Arcane Exposure has been reworked for lore reasons:
Whenever Hyria casts 3 spells in a row, she unleashes arcane energy, dealing 6x Intellect damage to all enemies and 3x Intellect damage to her allies.
Backfire no longer backfires and will actually deal damage to enemies.
Illusionary Weaponry also no longer backfires. Dammit Hyria, get your act together.
Arcane Blast now scales between 10x-2.5x damage, up from 8x-2x.
It has also lost its ability to hit multiple enemies.
### Jade:
Tough Skin can no longer grant Jade multiple resistances, but now lasts for 3 turns instead of 2.
Heartseeker no longer scales with crit chance, and now deals 5x Strength damage and causes bleeding.
Sentry can once again only be applied to one person at a time.
You can't save everyone, Jade.
### Luna:
Adjusted the order of her forms when selecting one, so now it goes Blood, Full, Eclipse, Waning, New.
### Machwar:
Overcharge now grants Taunt for its duration.
Heavy Duty Shield no longer grants Taunt, but now grants a Shield equal to 50% of Machwar's Energy.
Shield Overload no longer does 50% bonus damage.
### Mitch:
Defy Pain no longer has an Adrenaline effect, but now has Taunt by default.
### Phoenix:
Flame Pulse and Rune of Magmardon can no longer be used if Phoenix has no Magma stored.
### Rayzon:
Resurgence now properly heals Zivian to 25% hp instead of 1 hp.
### Sel:
Fixed a mistake in Sadistic Strike's description.
Death Mark now has a description, and will now actually dispel the enemy's mark when Sel takes damage.
Fixed an issue where Intoxicating Finisher's counter wouldn't reset properly between battles.
### Uiharu:
Basic attacks now grant 10 stacks of Static Shock.
Beat Up attacks now only generate 3 stacks each, despite counting as basic attacks.
Static Shock now carries over excess stacks.
(e.g. Static Shock triggers with 46 stacks, you keep 6 stacks)
This wasn't needed before since it could never go over, but now it can.
### Vex:
Celestial Protection now triggers at 50% health.
### Xelth:
Xelth's basic attack damage and healing are now the same (3x Intellect).
Shadow of the Light now copies the full value of Xelth's damage and healing.
Balance of Powers is now called Balance of Power.
Fixed a mistake in Shadow of the Light and Glimmering Barrier's descriptions.
## ITEMS
Adjusted a bunch of enemy drop descriptions to make them less memey.
Root has been renamed to Sturdy Root.
Character specific items added, crafted in the Adventurer's Guild:
Neraz: Unsated Blade.
Daxter: Old Family Recipes.
Sel: Guerrilla's Cloak.
Mitch: Executionar's Axe.
Uiharu: Nailed Bat.
## ENEMIES
Zeriph now has the correct face and both him and Vyn have new dialogue.
Many enemy spells now have more random targetting, so no more Jell Commando instantly killing your mages.
Dark Fairies now drop Dark Essence far less often.
Mist's Sabre no longer hits his allies when using Death Blossom.
Halberdier Mermaid now strikes the party twice.
Also the animation isn't super hecking slow anymore.
This animation fix also applies to Golmeg.
Animated Defender now has his intended health value when his Foundation passive rolls "Based on Facts". He didn't have enough facts to do his legendary top 10 lists.
Bandit Lunatic can no longer Mistrust herself. What kind of person doesn't trust themself?
## LOCATIONS
Added a sweet transition to the area name boxes that pop up.
Rest in piece Vynfall.
Mostly. It's now baked into Greatwood Run, which has been renamed to Lake of Outcasts.
Fixed many bugs with Nelvia.
Like seriously why did I think it was a good idea to release Nelvia.
Added a bunch of books to Nelvia's Forbidden Library, some of which hint at future content wink wink.
Scattered the orbs around Nelvia so you actually have a reason to explore.
Adjusted the lighting in the Golden Way, decorated the main path with more flora, and removed a bit of land that led to nowhere.
Fixed a bug where the Ley Spirits really didn't want you to leave, crashing the game.
Fixed a bug that allowed you to get to the tree in the center of Ephilar.
Adjusted the entrance of Ephilar and moved Xalatath and Xelni to Lake of Outcasts.
Xalatath and Xelni have received updated sprites.
Added the wonderful tailor and dark artist, The Master, to the Adventurer's Guild.
Adjusted the Blacksmith's dialogue to be in line with The Master's.
There was text out in the void of the Adventurer's Guild that said "Planning Map". It's gone now.
We also pushed a wall out of the way so Hyria can now be obtained without having to buy someone else.
I swear the method of obtaining characters will change in the future so that this will never be a problem again.
You can no longer perform a magic trick in the testing area, screw you Mike.
You can now leave the testing area without going for a nice swim.
Camellia's name had a third A when players bought her from the guild.
Oops.
The cat's I is now capitalized.
The corpse in the tent no longer gives gold.
## MISC
The sound effect for an ally dying has been changed.
The music for winning a battle has been changed.
The music for losing a battle has been adjusted.
