There is no easy way to begin a post like this.

Due to recent world events, we have decided to use our platform to speak out regarding the injustices faced by people of color across the world, and provide a call-to-action for change.

Even if this is different than our usual content (we will be making a brand new devlog soon), please take the time to read.

For far too long, people of color have been subject to systematic racism, which has resulted in their mistreatment and deaths at the hands of those with authority and privilege. Police officers, who vowed to serve and protect innocents, have taken advantage of their power in order to abuse and kill without consequence.

Even now, as people across the world peacefully protest against these injustices, some law enforcement has decided to abdicate their responsibility to protect the rights of their citizens to demonstrate and speak out. Instead, they have declared war upon their own people, assaulting them with tear gas and rubber-coated, metal bullets. Armed white supremacist terrorist groups have been allowed free reign, while unarmed people of color are relentlessly beaten and shot.

This is not "political." These are human lives at stake.

While previous generations have failed us, we can be the generation that makes a change.

This is not the world that we should live in. We must treat people with the dignity and respect that we all deserve.

Whether it's by signing petitions, donating to causes, or simply by educating yourself and others, there are things for everyone to do.
