Didn't expect this to happen, did you? I couldn't pass the opportunity of celebrating Pride Month here and felt like it'd be fun to make a quick little devlog of sorts.

Obligatory Progress Check

The gameplay is still the key focus in development, and I've managed to get two nights finished and functional, including the 6 AM sequence. The only thing that hasn't actually come into proper effect yet is the AC system, but everything else is coded and works as intended. Funnily enough, it's actually been a while since I worked on the game due to personal shenanigans and focus on getting Clone Yoshi's design ready to go. Speaking of...

What About Clone Yoshi?

In case it wasn't obvious, that Yoshi drawing I put up is actually a WIP image for the Clone Yoshi design. I wanted to draw a standard Yoshi first to get things right, THEN get to the design itself when I can. Yoshi though is an interesting character, because while Yoshi is referred to as a "he" in Western media from Nintendo, Yoshi is not truly given a settled, clear-cut gender.

The mystery of Yoshi's gender, and what to choose regarding Clone Yoshi, is something I've been thinking about for a while. I am debating whether Clone Yoshi remains female like in the original universe (but self-identifies as such in the Greenlit AU), or non-binary (but more on the feminine side). I'll have to settle on this eventually.

Well...I was actually unsure on whether or not I would be able to get a (Discord) profile in for celebrating Pride Month, but just recently did an idea finally strike me: use one of those "clone sonic fnas" edits. I decided to use the bisexual flag as representation, but that doesn't mean Clone Sonic is bisexual in the Greenlit AU, as the clones lack a sexuality.

The truth is that it's ME who is bisexual! I figured it was about time I got out of the closet as, for a few years, I couldn't get myself to be a little public about it. Any -phobes around here are free to stay away from me or get blocked, by the way.

I know this isn't much of a real devlog, but there are some things I don't want to miss out on celebrating. I promise a real devlog will come when Clone Yoshi's design is finished and I get some work on the game in. Happy Pride Month and see you next post!
