Bad news is that Tenkijo is already terminated by CaraPrincess at the wake of Lunar New Year in favour of the new game project idea of Muse Genkaroku. But good things are that some Tenkijo characters and elements are being "salvaged" by CaraPrincess for use in Genkaroku. You will (probably) encounters Yumemi Okazaki, Aoi Nabatame, or Jane again in Genkaroku (albeit with some of their aspects being slightly altered), as a compensation for the termination of Tenkijo.
Good news is that for this new game project, CaraPrincess might port the game (s) onto mobile (namely Android) in order to make the game gain more audiences (especially mobile gamers). Also, CaraPrincess also planned that there would be extra "goodies" that the players can obtain along with the downloads of each Chapter of Genkaroku, such as bonus music tracks, downloadable (or online (under the form of a .txt file that contains an Ao3 hyperlink)) digital books about the series (including both official guide books about many aspects of the game and extra stories that could put more context to Genkaroku's story), and more!
Instead of on her birthday like she intended for Tenkijo, Genkaroku Chapter 1's demo release date would be delayed to either between September-December 2022 or her 16th birthday on 2023. Still, Genkaroku Chapter 1's full version is expected to be released on UT's 10th anniversary on 2025, similar to Tenkijo.
Genkaroku will still have the same composers as Tenkijo, albeit the roles are now divided into: Driller of Drillimation Systems will be the one in charge of the character / battle / boss themes, while that SarothCyngus will be in charge of composing non-character / battle / boss BGM themes.
According to CaraPrincess, Genkaroku would be even more challenging to make than Tenkijo due to the game now integrates an ABS system via plugins, which can be pretty hard to configure. Also, balancing skills for each character would take a lot of work since in Genkaroku there will be a lot of gameplay elements that hadn't appeared in Tenkijo such as the presence of an elemental system. Also, the story of Genkaroku will be more complex than that of Tenkijo, due to the game itself revolves around the fight between "moral" culture and "corrupted" culture, and to integrate it with an RPG-esque and Touhou-esque storyline would be even more challenging.
Anyway, hope that CaraPrincess will be successful in working on this project, and hope that it will ever come to fruition as a playable game!
