Mary's Arcade: Service Pack

Bringing Back the Dead

Working on Service Pack is giving me an opportunity to add things to the game that I either hadn't though of yet, or was restricted from adding by scope or engine capabilities.

On top of the loads of new things I've added I've found myself going back to the many unreleased betas for Mary's Arcade Classic (at the time called 'Project Mary') and found that there was a lot more to like than I remembered.

Some of the old room designs, slight layout differences, and old scrapped ideas spoke to me with new potential. Heck, the layout of the security office in Service Pack is more based on one of the Mary's Arcade beta offices than it is on the final release version.

Service Pack is less "Mary's Arcade with RTX" and more of a complete, fully actualized version of everything I imagined the game being throughout the various iterations and I can't wait for everyone to experience it.

Unfortunately, things still are taking quite a while. I've got work and plenty of other things eating up my time these days. Don't worry, I am not stopping any time soon, not even slowing down, just working steadily and making sure that SP is as refined as can possibly be.

Here's an early look at a resurrected room.

Big Announcement

First stable version of new multi pass shader ported. Paired it with a lower resolution and era-appropriate aspect ratio for vibes. (and to make sure the shaders scale properly)

Also shows off some of the enhanced entry area.

Here is a 2024 #prideart

I hope I can get time to draw another Fanverse piece this year

Working on the better camera shader.

Full lens, CCD, and transmission emulation.

Here's a sneak peak of the office in game. (Ignore those colored squares...)

Literal bug-turned-feature. I am gonna make this happen if you try to move the window while there's no camera feed.

Newest draft of composite video shader fixes color issues (caused by different versions of GLSL clamping values differently) and uses real sampled CCD sensor thermal noise. See for yourself!

Where are you? Where's Mary?
