Cave Game 2D Indev released


Hey everyone!

I never expected to update this page again, but the other day I created a new 2D Minecraft world generator since Minecraft turned 10 recently and I felt like making a little thing for it. When I tried to think of a name for this new project, I thought it would be fun to make it like a new and improved Cave Game 2D, so that’s what I did!

Cave Game 2D Indev is a little project I made in about 5-ish hours with a new terrain generation system, complete with caves and trees. There’s only 9 blocks to build with, but more may be added in the future. We’ll see!

I hope you have fun with the game! It’s available now on the GameJolt page. There’s not much to do in it, but if there’s any interest, I might expand the concept. Let me know if you’d like to see that!

Lastly, here are the controls for reference:

  • WASD or arrow keys to move the crosshair.

  • Use the mouse to move the selector.

  • Left click to destroy selected block, right click to place one.

  • Scrollwheel to select blocks on the hotbar.

  • Press N to generate a new world.

  • Press R to snap the crosshair to the selector.

  • F11 to toggle fullscreen.
