The main issue recent players have reported was that POINTs would not save after getting to the results screen. I decided to look at the code. And, to my unfortunate discovery, it turns out that, when a jumpscare occurs (ending the run), I accidentally had it set to destroy an object which stores points temporarily (so that the results screen actually saves it to memory), instead of making the object invisible.
For any Clickteam devs seeing this, you would know that, if an object gets destroyed, the object's data and resources get cleared from memory. And, for the specific use that is VERY IMPORTANT to Arcade Mode, this was a collossal screw-up.
I have fixed the issue, I have play-tested it and made sure it works properly now; but what I can't fix is the time players have spent playing Arcade Mode, only for their hard-earned POINTs to be lost due to a development oversight.
I’m truly sorry this oversight happened. I know many of you spent time in Arcade Mode only to lose your POINTs because of it, and I understand how frustrating that is. I take full responsibility for that mistake. Unfortunately, I’m not able to restore those POINTs, which makes this even harder to make right. I am genuinely sorry for the time and progress lost.
