Combat system - Weekly content news n°1

The major contents of the combat system are finally out, featuring exclusive mechanics!
(There will be spoilers in terms of strategy for the game, avoid that post if you want to keep some surprises)


○ Reclused will work with an ATB battle system, the gauge for actions being the “energy”.

○ Oddie can be helped by three mates during a fight through the friendship/quest system. They will form a squad, and each added members will be individual and considered as AI.

○ There will be four types of characters : “Ennemies”, and Allies [“Weak”/”Trained”/”Fighters”]. Each types has different fixed statistics.

○ There are three states that a character can undergo : Asleep, Poisonned, Paralysed.

○ There are three types of actions. [Attack], [Use], and [Flee].

  • Attacks will contain both “Hit” and “Spells” attacks, the player can only use Hits.

  • Use is for objects, either throwable or consummable.

  • Flee is for fleeing a combat, the player will lose two random items.

○ The friendship between squad members will influence the combat : if two character hate eachother, they won’t help eachother!

○ A block system using a shield and randomized letter is being worked on.

Heya there! I really wanted to show you all a little gameplay preview of the first boss fight i'm currently working on i hope you like it ^^

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

So here's the first of the zodiac signs i will make for the next weeks.
