Hello everyone! It's been a while, hasn't it? A few things have happened since the last devlog.
I can't wait to tell you all about it! Before that though, check out this wallpaper of the Dining Hall!

I made this a few months ago but never got the chance to show it off since the camera wasn't revealed yet, now I can!
Alright, let's get into the actual devlog now.
Menu Preview
A few days ago I showed off a quick showcase of the main menu despite a few features being missing. (The options menu actually working and a whole other side of the menu that hasn't been implemented yet, difficulties etc.)
You guys seemed to really like it, so thank you for that! In case you haven't seen it, I'll repost it here real quick (so I can fill the post a bit more lol).
Main Menu Showcase
Help Wanted
Recently we've been working on the cutscenes for the game, including the script, the visuals and even the background music for it.
The assets for the opening cutscene are done! They look great, I'm sure it'll be a nice introduction to the game as well.
In celebration, here's one of the frames!
Hey... you should try calling that number. If you're lucky, maybe you'll get the job!
Soundtrack
We've also been working on the original soundtrack with @helloitscrash !
There won't be too many tracks, but the ones that we'll have will be pretty bussin'. So far we have 4 tracks (one of them being the Main Menu theme, which you can hear part of in the showcase video) and they all sound fantastic!
While I won't share the tracks, I'd like to share something visual regarding them:
The cover! (Or at least, a WIP of it)
(If you're a Gorillaz fan, you might recognise where this is taking inspiration from)
Once the soundtrack is done I'll upload the entire soundtrack on my youtube channel! Possibly after the game is out, though.
Alpha Testing
What about the actual game? How is that going?
Honestly? Pretty good! We've just finished fixing a list of bugs from our second build of the game, meaning we're pretty much done with 1/3rd of the overall gameplay loop!
It might not sound like much, but bare in mind that another 1/3rd of it (the next thing we're going to be working on) isn't as big as the others.
As I've mentioned before, in DEERWOOD it's almost like you're playing two games each night, though there's a third side that applies to both:
The power meter! Which doesn't function like in most FNAF games/fangames, and instead is more similar to an health bar. That's all I'll say about it for now.
One final thing before I wrap up the devlog; we've had one final visual overhaul!
This one isn't anything big, but in the long run it does a lot! (Specifically for the horror factor)
We've updated how the "door sequence" looks, making it a lot creepier now. Here's a quick mock-up of it:
That's all for now! Thank you guys again for the support, it means a lot.
