Well here we are! over 100 followers.. I can't thank you all enough for the support you've shown us but I think it's about time we show you what that support has done for the team! So I introduce you all to TEAM TOASTERS First Devlog! We have quite a lot to cover as we've been underwraps for a few years now so buckle up and enjoy the ride!
Firstly I'd like to explain a few things before I start showing some spritework, our demo will take place in snowdin, not the ruins, this doesn't mean we're not having a ruins, its just that our plan for ruins is much larger than what we originally thought and compared to snowdin (which we still had to cut stuff down so it stays a demo and not a full chapter release!) we just have far more progress on that.
Now I'd like to properly introduce our spritework for snowdin as I don't think we've shown the full aspect of how much we've really changed it's look!

As a team collectively, we decided on going with a much more "alive" look to snowdin and made the decision on having randomly moving NPC's! This will allow for a much more vibrant look.
Adding to how we've expanded snowdin, we've greatly enlarged once small town, now being a much larger area to both explore and spend gold in! One of the more interesting places to spend your gold would be the new snowdin clothing store! Where you can customise your appearance and buy new clothes to wear!

Now I will admit we aren't going to be sharing anything further related to the clothing store as I feel it'd be much better if you all experienced its true beauty in-game!
Moving forward I'd like to make a proper introduction to our new Battle UI! We've gone through countless different prototypes all with varying styles but soon landed on one that best suits the game!

We were originally contemplating going with full coloured battle sprites but ultimately decided that it would take more effort than needed, however we did decide to have battle backgrounds to match the area that you are fighting in!
Now you may be wondering why we have a TP bar, the answer is because our new human is able to use MAGIC, I won't go into further detail about this just yet as I do want to write an entire post regarding this new feature.
The last section of this devlog will go to showing some of the other changes we've made.

Adding onto what we've already changed about snowdin we decided story-wise it would be a lot better to have moments alone where characters express themselves, forming a deeper connection between us, as an example, I've shown a brief cutscene between us and papyrus!
And with that our First Devlog has concluded! I hope you've all enjoyed what we've shown so far, Im thrilled to have gotten 100 followers on this page in 6 days and cannot thank you all enough <3
