Happy Friday, everyone.
I got my new headset for streaming yesterday (you should now be able to hear my crystal clear whispering in your ear. Not creepy at all, right!?), but I also seem to have caught some kind of flu bug, so I haven't been able to stream since yesterday. Oh, yeah, we've been streaming our work most evenings in the Discord server. Should have led with that, I guess. Blame it on flu-brain.
Infinite Stars development has been coming along steady at a steady pace. Stoffies reworked the very first BG he did for us, and it is now in the game (We're on track for another monthly(ish) release for next week (maybe the week after?)
Here's what I'm talking about. Look at that before and after!

We'll continue working on some of the older backgrounds to bring them in line with the higher quality ones.
I feel like I've burnt out a bit on the marketing side. Which isn't bad, since it will force me to focus on the creating side again. I've touched on this before. It takes a lot of energy to shout into the void, not knowing if anyone appreciates (or even hears) your efforts. I hit a bit of an emotional dip earlier this week, not sure if it's because of the flu or just too much void-shouting.
Creating stuff is lonely, and mental health is important. If there is a creator or a dev that you enjoy, do me a favour, tell them so. Regularly and repeatedly. Send them an email, leave a comment where they can read it. They need to hear it sometimes. It's such a small gesture, but it has a profound impact on the receiver. (I'm not fishing for compliments or comments, even though I also sometimes need them, but there are so many devs and creators out there, right now, who you like, that need to hear it.)
In other dev news, Franco has started doing some backgrounds for Thalassaphilia, and I've been itching to continue working on it. We're also considering doing the upcoming Toxic Yuri Gamejam AND the cute girls doing cool stuff jam, and have started throwing some ideas around on the Discord streams.
I'm also seriously looking into adding a bit more Lochem content for Episode 3, mostly scenes to explain the sudden and intense connection most players have with him, so he doesn't feel so rushed. There is a standing open invitation for anyone to send scene ideas on how to achieve this.
That said, the meds are making me drowsy, and I need a lie down. I don't plan on working today. I need to rest and get better so I'm ready for my upcoming wedding anniversary (with a photoshoot) and birthday in the next few days. (Not to mention the new addition to my family being due very soon!!)
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. As always, be safe and be kind!
