Devlog 4 : mega-dev-notes


After a month of consideration, it’s time for some big reveals. Good to be back here.


CHARACTER REVEALS

At first, I wanted to keep it as spoiler alert as possible, but due to the amount of wait I ultimately decided to reveal it sooner than later.

First we have is Alice, with a surprising redesign.

I wanted her to make it look like she was trying to rebuild herself by using different shell parts, the result wasn’t that bad.

Next and finally, we have is The Slester. Now having a more humanoid look to it.

UI & MECHANICS (TESTING)

While still in its early development phase, we would like to show you some of it as a taste of what the gameplay would look like.

Monitor mechanics :

The monitor mechanics has a realistic touch to it, similar to how they played in 5.0 in terms of gameplay.

UI :

A month ago I did a test for the UI when talking to @Chris-is-here , I wanted to see if his idea would worked. After some designing and using a FNATI AE cam as a placeholder, the result wasn’t that bad.

PNM’s mechanic :

PNM‘s mechanic will be way different than any other fnati mechanic while staying true to the original creepypasta, as looking at him in the cameras would result in the cameras overheated and eventually break. The only way to make him go away is by using the audio lore.

Goofy’s mechanic :

Due to his missing head, he cannot see but can hear which did give me a lot of creativity for what mechanic he’ll have. If you reboot a camera, he’ll move slowly but closer. The only way to make him go away is by using the audio lure in the bathroom as his head is where is currently located.
