Hallo zusammen,

da unser Spiel eventuell etwas Erklärung benötigt, haben wir ein Hilfedokument geschrieben, um es ein wenig zu erklären. Dies findet ihr Nachfolgend.

Viel Erfolg!

1920: A Space Odyssey

Story

It is the year 1920 and organized crime has split up the world. The only thing that is left? Space of course. A merciless race to the far end of the solar system begins.

Will you be the victor and lead your family to the top? Or will you be left behind and forgotten in the annals of history?

The Goal

Be the first organization to reach the end of the solar system: Neptune.

Gameplay

Investments and returns

The game is basically just an economic simulation. You invest into different areas and get a return out of it.

There are three major areas where you can invest into, and get a return out of, and one special one that will be explained a bit later.

The three areas are:

  1. Redlight

  2. Financials and

  3. Drugs

Each has six subcategories, which in turn have two options to invest in.

The market takes into account how many competitors are currently competing in that specific market, and your share will be according to your investment in that market. So pay attention that you won’t get buried.

Also don’t forget to bribe the cops! (In the fourth area). They have a nasty habit of taking some of your revenue in the most unfortunate moment.

Leaving the planet

Once you have enough disposable income, you can leave the planet. For that, you have to launch a rocket.

Each expedition costs a lot of money, so try to prepare as best as you can. This is where the fourth area comes into play: it lets you sabotage the expeditions of your competitors and lower the cost of your own expeditions.

Once you funded an expedition, one of two things will happen:

  1. It will land successfully on the new planet or

  2. It will explode in space.

Once an expedition lands on another planet, you are free to invest into the different areas all over again to increase your profits and fund the expedition to the next planet.

Keep your goal in mind: Reach Neptune!

Tips and Tricks

Try to focus on areas where you can get a big enough market share. You will see much higher “Return on Investment”s.

Sabotaging other parties only works on the planet they are currently on. So don’t invest in hackers on earth if no one you are worried about is still there.

Being the first on a planet is always worth it! You are the only one that can build on that planet so you always have 100% of the market share.

Good luck brave entrepreneur! The stars await!

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

Runestones: from concept to in-game model🗿

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

Quantum precognition is one of the most powerful cards. End game cards & equipment. Demo/alpha build boss is no match for this deck.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Call it 'wrong turn'!🚫 The feeling of running into a house with only one exit🚪, and being doomed to die. #pixelart #pixelartist #pixelartwork #art #pixel #indiegame #IndieGameDev #indieartist

Spaaaace~

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)

Drawn in Piskel using my mouse. Whaddya think?
