But first of all, why FNaC=SMB? Well...

• While not being pioneers within their respective industries/scenes, both are universally recognized as the faces of their respective ones.

• Inconsistent logos in their beginnings, but later they adopted consistent ones.

• FNaC includes a trilogy, several spin-offs like Fur or Candy Racers, which can be equivalent to NES trilogy, Super Mario Land or Super Mario Kart respectively.

• Both 2nd games were (kinda) panned by critics.

• Both games started as "parodies/references" to existent IPs, FNaC to Tom and Jerry and SMB to Popeye, respectively.

• Bonus: Even FNaC had an unofficial Paper Mario-styled fangame (which was sadly canned).

  
  

Having said that, we can start with the points in favor of each one:

Points in favor of Popgoes=Sonic:

• Both games coexist within a same universe, something that can be equivalent to Mario and Sonic at the olympic games spin-offs.

• Consistent logos, just like with the Sonic ones.

• Characters can be equivalent with Sonic main ones, plus Manora is a kind of Amy Rose due to her personality and love towards Popgoes.

• Main character is named Popgoes the Weasel, just like how Sonic's full name is Sonic the Hedgehog.

Points in favor of Jolly=Sonic:

Aside from both names having 5 letters and sounding similar, I found that:

• Just like with Popgoes, Jolly characters can be equivalent of Sonic main ones.

• Jolly includes the trilogy, the 2 Jollibee's games, and a cancelled 4th installment, which can be equivalent to Genesis/Mega Drive trilogy, Sonic Adventure games and Sonic X-treme respectively.

• Both 3rd parts have been splitted in two due to development issues.

• Main characters share/shared similar color schemes like blue, orange, red and pink.

Conclusion:

While there's no exact winner, you can see that both are perfectly balanced, as all things should be!

As for me, I think Jolly is def Sonic, aside from being a Jolly fan, these were the first similarities I noticed, a friend of mine said Popgoes was a better candidate, then I decided to make this dumb post, but not before collecting and organizing all these points ofc.
