Schwood Schway!
I've been a bit busy with EMCN 2. For basically the whole day, for example, I went ahead and got started on developing some mechanics! I realized that if I want to reaaaally gain motivation, I need to focus on the gameplay. That'll definitely get me pumped!
The mechanic you see here may seem a bit scuffed as it was made mainly for a showcase. The premise is simple: you see a number and you type that number. The counter goes up and you continue. Simple! Fail to type a number or type the wrong one and you go back to zero. Seems more like a minigame than a mechanic, and you'd be right! While developing the mechanic, I came up with the idea of making it a minigame! Whether it'd be in the game or on the game's page as a downloadable project is still up in the air. It'd be nice to have something, even if it's small, while developing EMCN 2. It will STILL be a mechanic by the time of the game's release, it'll just be infinite and progressively gaining difficulty as it progresses for the minigame's version.
The custom night menu has also received some progress. Due to some games not having custom night frames of certain characters, I had to go make my own. Some look neat and others look... less neat. I use Source Filmmaker for my posing which I know may have some limitations, but it's the best tool I have at my disposal that I know how to work.
Lastly, I have the Gamejolt page almost finished. The banner is up, and thumbnail seems good, and the description is better now. The only thing I'm missing is screenshots. I'd like to have some just so people who haven't seen the game can see what it looks like.
That's about all. I may start plan on working on a demo for the future. I want AT LEAST half of the cast prepared, which would be fifteen. I may get it out maybe March-ish if I don't procrastinate as much. Heck, maybe even earlier.
That's all, bye bye!!
