Bede's left hand seems to form the sign of the cross, and the light that shining on his Poke Ball forms rays that form a shape that can be interpreted as a cross.

Plus, along with his whitish-blonde hair (white and yellow are considered to be the colors that represent Heaven, and is present in the flag of Vatican) and his purple eyes (purple is considered to be a color of theology), I also depicted him to be a modern-day incarnation of St. Bede in my fanfics, due to similar names and the religious significance of his color motifs.

Exactly. Since this track is from Mountain of Faith, released in 2007, I was born on May 26, 2007, and St. Bede is said to die in May 26 (according to the Wikipedia article about the date), then I believed that my birth has caused St. Bede to incarnate in human form as Bede (who else?) in order to spread the faith in God and His wisdom throughout the world once more.

I don't mean to blaspheme or mocking Christianity with the fan theory and meme above, but that is exactly what happens in my head once the name of the character Bede slammed into my head. From now on, I consider Bede to be my major Pokemon husbando, replacing Allister.
