Fall: Devlog 2


SO! Fall is close to done, to be honest with you, just another month and it should be out... Hopefully. But don't worry, we still have a ton to share! Going over today, a new block type, a completed menu, possible powerups, and the gamepage plus the trailer. So let's dive straight in...

The new block type:

Being on this new block for a randomized time will eventually break it. This adds a certain level of danger into the world and will add some new strategy. It is specifically designed to look like it belongs (because it does) and perfectly goes along with falls unique art style.

The completed menu:

This isn't as interesting as some of the other stuff for today, but interesting nonetheless. It has pretty greys and blacks that once again perfectly fit the art style. And as your mouse hovers over buttons, they extrude from the side telling you which one your currently on. Below you can see it:

Power ups?

We are currently in the planning stages for possible power ups that might spawn on platforms occasionally. NOTICE: THIS WILL NOT BE IN THE INITIAL LAUNCH AND IS ONLY JUST IN THE PLANNING STAGES! Currently we have a simple model for a possible jetpack. There are other things, but they are not far enough along to go into detail or even show. So, about the jetpack. It will propel you to any platform you select, if you're about to fall on a breakable tile it will save you from that! When you select to use it, everything will fade to black and white and stop moving. You will then select which platform you would like to go to, resuming the game and returning everything back to normal colors.
